Tools & Settings

Mailtric ships with built-in deliverability tools and a complete settings panel so you can diagnose issues, control access, and keep your database lean—without any paid add-ons.

Everything included

Email logging, tests, deliverability checks, cleanup, exports, and all settings are free. There is no pro version.

Email tools

  • Email Test – Send a quick email to verify WordPress can send mail.
  • SMTP Test – Check SMTP host, port, username, password, and encryption (TLS/SSL).
  • Deliverability Check – Inspect SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX records, and blacklist status for your domain.
  • Database Management – Clean old logs, remove failed logs, and optimize database tables and indexes.
  • Export / Import – Export logs as CSV/JSON/XML or import backups to restore data.
  • System Info – View WordPress/PHP/MySQL/server diagnostics and copy a status report for support.

Settings tabs

  • General – Enable email failure notifications and choose whether Mailtric deletes its data on uninstall.
  • SMTP – Enable SMTP, set host/port/authentication/encryption, and configure From Email/From Name. Includes a Test Connection button.
  • Headers – Add Reply-To, CC, and BCC; enforce From Email/Name; include a Mailtric X-Mailer header; add custom headers.
  • Logging – Toggle logging, choose to store successful/failed emails, and decide whether to log full content and custom headers.
  • Data Retention – Turn on automatic cleanup and set the maximum number of logs to keep.
  • Security – Require authentication to view logs and restrict access to selected WordPress roles (API access coming soon).
  • Performance – Adjust batch size, hourly rate limits, and queue options to keep logging efficient.
  • Setup Wizard – Rerun the onboarding wizard anytime from the Settings page.

Tips for reliable deliverability

  • Run Email Test after any SMTP or DNS change.
  • Keep Data Retention enabled on busy sites to prevent bloated databases.
  • Limit access under Security so only trusted roles can view logs or resend emails.
  • Use Deliverability Check when onboarding new domains to catch SPF/DKIM/DMARC gaps early.
