Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Mailtric! This guide will help you get up and running in just a few minutes so you can start understanding your Mail Metrics and improve your email deliverability.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • Mailtric installed and activated
  • Admin access to your WordPress site
  • A logo or brand image (optional but recommended)

Step 1: Basic Setup (2 minutes)

Access Plugin Settings

  1. Navigate to your WordPress admin dashboard
  2. Click on "Mailtric" in the sidebar
  3. Select "Settings" from the submenu

Configure Essential Settings

Set these basic options to get started:

  • Template: Choose "Modern" for a clean, professional look
  • Image Size: Keep default (1200x630px)
  • Format: Select JPEG for smaller file sizes
  • Quality: Set to 90 for best balance of quality and size

Step 2: Create Your First Image (1 minute)

Option A: New Post

  1. Create a new post (Posts → Add New)
  2. Add a compelling title - this will appear on your image
  3. Write your content
  4. Click "Publish"

Option B: Existing Post

  1. Edit an existing post
  2. Update the title if needed
  3. Click "Update"

Email Logged!

Mailtric automatically logs your emails when they are sent. No additional steps required!

Step 3: Verify Your Image (30 seconds)

Check the Generated Image

  1. Go to Mailtric -> Email Logs
  2. View the logged emails
  3. Click "Regenerate" if you want to create a new version

Test on Social Media

The fastest way to test is using Facebook's debugger:

  1. Visit Facebook Sharing Debugger
  2. Paste your post URL
  3. Click "Debug"
  4. See your beautiful image in the preview!

Customization Tips

  • Keep titles under 60 characters for best readability
  • Use high-contrast colors for text and background
  • Upload a high-quality logo for professional appearance
  • Test your images on different social platforms

Template Adjustments

If you want to modify the default template:

  1. Go to Mailtric → Settings
  2. Configure your settings
  3. Adjust colors, fonts, and layout
  4. Save changes
  5. Regenerate existing images if desired

Image Not Generating?

Quick Fixes

  1. Check file permissions - Ensure WordPress can write to uploads directory
  2. Verify requirements - PHP GD library or ImageMagick must be installed
  3. Memory limits - Increase PHP memory if you get timeout errors
  4. Plugin conflicts - Temporarily deactivate other plugins to test

Image Quality Issues?
